沈陽航空工業(yè)學(xué)院是一所以航空宇航為特色，以工學(xué)為主，工學(xué)、理學(xué)、人文科學(xué)、社會科學(xué)、管理科學(xué)等學(xué)科協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展的多科性高等院校。沈航創(chuàng)建于1952年，是原航空航天部所屬的6所本科航空院校之一，現(xiàn)為遼寧省人民政府與工業(yè)和信息化部共同建設(shè)的唯一一所高校，是空軍依托培養(yǎng)后備軍官的全國18所地方院校之一，是遼寧省裝備制造業(yè)緊缺人才航空航天培養(yǎng)基地，是遼寧省省屬重點院校，已經(jīng)成為“國防科技人才培養(yǎng)基地”、“遼寧老工業(yè)振興人才培養(yǎng)基地”和“空軍后備軍官培養(yǎng)基地”。2007年，以“優(yōu)秀”成績通過了教育部本科教學(xué)工作水平評估。 沈航占地2129畝，建筑面積57萬平方米，固定資產(chǎn)總值12.7億元，教學(xué)科研儀器設(shè)備總值1.61億元。圖書館館藏圖書及文獻130余萬冊，各類報刊3000余種。現(xiàn)有16個教學(xué)單位,全日制在校生12000余人。沈航現(xiàn)有特聘院士10人，專任教師近800人，其中具有高級技術(shù)職稱的教師420余人，具有博士學(xué)位的教師166人，碩博比75%以上?，F(xiàn)有遼寧省創(chuàng)新團隊3個，省級教學(xué)團隊1個；遼寧省教學(xué)名師4人，校級教學(xué)名師22人，遼寧省青年骨干教師23人；省級重點學(xué)科帶頭人、校級學(xué)科學(xué)術(shù)帶頭人40人；遼寧省百、千、萬層次人才50余人；擁有博士生導(dǎo)師、碩士生導(dǎo)師208人；近百位國內(nèi)外知名學(xué)者擔(dān)任學(xué)校兼職教授。 沈航現(xiàn)有43個本科專業(yè)，其中擁有5個國家特色專業(yè)，2個工業(yè)和信息化部國防重點專業(yè)和國防緊缺專業(yè)，5個遼寧省省級示范專業(yè)；現(xiàn)有省級精品課13門；擁有6個省級重點學(xué)科、國防科工局國防主干學(xué)科和省級重點培育學(xué)科，16個二級學(xué)科具有碩士學(xué)位授予權(quán)，5個領(lǐng)域可授工程碩士專業(yè)學(xué)位；現(xiàn)有11個省級重點實驗室，其中，國家國防科工局在我校設(shè)立的“航空制造工藝數(shù)字化”國防重點學(xué)科實驗室，是全國34個國防重點學(xué)科實驗室之一。現(xiàn)有2個國家級實驗教學(xué)示范中心，5個省級實驗教學(xué)示范中心；“十五”以來，先后獲省級以上教學(xué)成果獎30余項，其中國家教學(xué)成果獎1項，省級一等獎5項；學(xué)生在國際和國內(nèi)大學(xué)生數(shù)學(xué)建模競賽、挑戰(zhàn)杯、電子設(shè)計競賽等科技大賽中獲得省級以上獎項400余項，其中國家級獎勵70余項，省級獎項300余項，競賽成績位于遼寧省高校前列。 Characterized by aeronautics and astronautics, Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (SUAA) is a multi-disciplinary university, which, while focusing on engineering, also covers such areas as science, liberal arts and management. Founded in 1952, the university was initially administered by the National Ministry of Aeronautical & Astronautical Industry, and later by the China General Corporation of Aeronautical Industry. Since 1999, SUAA has been under the administration of the Liaoning Provincial Government, and is the only university owned by the China Industry and Information Technology Ministry and the Liaoning Provincial Government. It is also one of the eight universities constructed by the former China National Defence Ministry and local provincial governments. In addition, it is the only university of aeronautical and astronautical engineering in Liaoning Province. At present, the university comprises 17 schools, with over 900 lecturers, including 400 professors and associate professors. There are 20,000 full-time students in SUAA. The university has over 50,000 graduates, whose competence, loyalty and achievements have been well accepted by the society. A great number of them are now working as senior engineers or executives. The recent employment of the graduates has been maintained at the average of 95.7%. The innovative spirit of the university could be traced back as early as the 1950s, when its independently developed aircraft Shenhang No.1 flew into the sky successfully. Since 1990s, SUAA has been successively awarded the Torch Research-oriented University by Shenyang Municipal Government. Aiming at developing the students' full potentials, the university actively establishes outstanding clubs and takes part in a variety of high-level scientific activities, which results in the students' achievements in various contests, such as the Aircraft Model Contest, Mathematics Modeling Contest, Challenge Cup, Mechanical Design Contest, Electronic Design Contest, English Speaking Contest, Environment Art Design Contest and Industrial Design Contest.
