寧波大紅鷹學(xué)院是一所經(jīng)國家教育部批準(zhǔn)設(shè)立的本科層次民辦普通高等學(xué)校，由寧波大紅鷹教育集團(tuán)投資舉辦。學(xué)校前身為創(chuàng)辦于1997年12月的寧波職業(yè)教育專修學(xué)院。2002年5月，經(jīng)浙江省人民政府批準(zhǔn)，成立寧波大紅鷹職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)院。2003年11月，成為全國試辦國家級(jí)示范性軟件學(xué)院的35所高校之一。2007年6月，順利通過教育部高職高專院校人才培養(yǎng)工作水平優(yōu)秀評(píng)估；同年12月，以優(yōu)異成績通過全國高等學(xué)校設(shè)置評(píng)議委員會(huì)對(duì)學(xué)院“申本”工作的考評(píng)。2008年4月，經(jīng)教育部批準(zhǔn)，正式升格更名為寧波大紅鷹學(xué)院。學(xué)校本部地處我國東南沿海重要港口城市、長三角南翼經(jīng)濟(jì)中心和國家歷史文化名城——寧波，
杭州灣分校區(qū)坐落于世界最長跨海大橋——杭州灣跨海大橋南翼的寧波杭州灣新區(qū)內(nèi)；校區(qū)總占地面積1300余畝，校舍建筑面積40余萬平方米。校園布局大氣，環(huán)境優(yōu)雅，教學(xué)設(shè)施完善，教育功能齊全?，F(xiàn)有教學(xué)儀器設(shè)備總值6650萬元，館藏各類圖書130余萬冊(cè)；建有校內(nèi)實(shí)驗(yàn)、實(shí)訓(xùn)室150個(gè)，與企業(yè)共建校外實(shí)訓(xùn)基地134個(gè)。目前校內(nèi)設(shè)有信息工程學(xué)院、機(jī)械與電氣工程學(xué)院、經(jīng)濟(jì)與管理學(xué)院、外國語學(xué)院、藝術(shù)與傳媒學(xué)院、人文學(xué)院、基礎(chǔ)學(xué)院、軟件學(xué)院、社科部、公共體育部等八院二部共46個(gè)本、?？茖I(yè)；另設(shè)有成人繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院、自學(xué)考試學(xué)院、國際教育學(xué)院等教學(xué)機(jī)構(gòu)。全校教師700余人，專任教師中具有副高級(jí)以上職稱人員占31%，碩士以上學(xué)位人員占36%；現(xiàn)有全日制在校大學(xué)生1萬3千余人。學(xué)校以舉辦全日制應(yīng)用型本科教育為主，立足浙江，服務(wù)長三角，輻射全國；側(cè)重面向信息技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)、先進(jìn)制造業(yè)和現(xiàn)代服務(wù)業(yè)，逐步形成“以工科為主，多學(xué)科協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展”的學(xué)科專業(yè)建設(shè)格局；積極推進(jìn)質(zhì)量工程建設(shè)，突出人才培養(yǎng)的技術(shù)應(yīng)用和工程實(shí)踐特色，不斷深化學(xué)生管理“主體化”改革，努力培養(yǎng)適應(yīng)區(qū)域經(jīng)濟(jì)和社會(huì)發(fā)展需要的“基礎(chǔ)實(shí)、能力強(qiáng)、素質(zhì)高”的高級(jí)應(yīng)用型專門人才。學(xué)校將始終堅(jiān)持“以人為本、德能并重”的辦學(xué)理念，堅(jiān)持“百折不撓、超越自我、不斷追求崇高目標(biāo)”的大紅鷹教育精神，堅(jiān)持為區(qū)域現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)服務(wù)的宗旨，以“自信、專注”為校訓(xùn)，以內(nèi)涵建設(shè)和發(fā)展為重點(diǎn)，努力建設(shè)成為一所特色鮮明、有改革創(chuàng)新示范價(jià)值的國內(nèi)一流民辦本科應(yīng)用型大學(xué)。Ningbo Dahongying University (NDU) is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, which is an international port city boasting a 7,000 year cultural heritage. The modern city of Ningbo has an agricultural and industrial economy, which has high private ownership and has been responsible for the development of many well-known Chinese brands and trademarks. The city has a population of over 5 million, is strategically located near Shanghai and has been awarded many prestigious accolades such as the“National Culturally Advanced City”, “National Garden City”, and “Model City for Chinese Living Environment”.Inaugurated in 1997 as the Ningbo Specialized Training College of Vocational Education, it was quickly recognized by the MOE for its excellence, and by 2002 it was upgraded to the Ningbo Dahongying Vocational Technical College. In 2004, the Software College was established in line with the national pilot scheme, to train much needed IT professionals. From 2002, the college evidenced continuous improvement and delivered quality vocational education, and received several awards of excellence in private education. This effort, by the administration and staff, was again rewarded by the MOE and the college was granted general university status in April, 2008.NDU is a comprehensive medium sized Chinese university situated on the outskirts of Western Ningbo with a spacious, quiet, picturesque and hi-tech campus. Many facilities provided by the university are“state of the art” and are used to instill professionalism in the students as well as to skill them with practical and operational abilities. The university has a strong technical emphasis and caters for approximately 10,000 students.The university targets the cultivation of qualified high-level application-oriented professionals.It has a strong link to regional business, and produces graduates that satisfy the needs and demands of industry and overall social development of the region.NDU concentrates on delivering a student centered training model of “One Primary and Three Secondary Aspects”, with capability as the mainline.The primary focus is Application, with secondary underlying attention being given to skills integration, adaptation to the“outside world”, and creativity.
